History.
Weymouth Offshore and
Grahame Knott have a
vast amount of experience in deep keel trihedral design vessels. Having been
closely involved with the development and sales of the Offshore range of boats
in the nineties and helping to secure the future of the 105, 125 and 25 after
Rod Baker moved into catamaran production. They then moved on to commission the
Evolution 38. Shortly after production got under way a serious injury forced
Grahame to reluctantly sell the tooling to Universal Projects. Thankfully after
two years and considerable surgery all that development experience is now not to
be wasted. Grahame along with Cliff Southwood and Damaris Hockey are ready to
launch the Venom.
Cliff Southwood. Cliff worked
for many years in the communications industry specifically in the area of
banking and project management. His undoubted skill as a boat designer and
builder are enhanced by his analytical approach. During development work on the
Offshore 125 and plug work on the Evolution he was truly irreplaceable and
reminiscent of a Jack Russell refusing to let go until the results were perfect.
Cliff also found the time to run his own vessel and therefore has a first hand
understanding of what is required from the modern day charter boat.
Damaris Hockey. Damaris also has a background in communications and has
particular skills in statistics, scheduling and project management, she really
knows how to put a project together and bring it in on budget. Allied to this
she has proved to be a natural when it comes to glass work and laminating. Her
attention to detail is nothing short of remarkable.
